Norwich have swooped to sign Wigan defender David Wright on a month's loan.Norwich have swooped to sign Wigan defender David Wright on a month's loan.
Wright has found opportunities limited at The JJB this term, with his two appearances coming in the Carling Cup, and manager Paul Jewell has sanctioned a temporary trip away from the North West.
The Canaries came calling and wrapped up a four-week loan for the 25-year-old full back on Thursday.
Norwich have struggled on their return to The Championship and Canaries manager Nigel Worthington will hope Wright can add some steel to his back-line.
"He brings us more quality and experience to the squad," Worthington told the club's website. "It's a good deal for David and for us and it gives him a chance to get some football under his belt and he'll go straight into the squad for Saturday."
Wright is looking to take his chance to shine, as he added: "It's a great opportunity for me. It's been a bit frustrating for me this season, though the Wigan lads have done fantastically well.
"I don't think anyone expected them to be second in the league at this stage.
"It means my chances have been limited and I jumped at the chance of coming to a good club like Norwich to hopefully kick-start my career."
