Baggies chairman Jeremy Peace believes Ellington, who has been with The Latics for just over thee years, is excited about moving to The Hawthorns.

"Nathan Ellington is excited about becoming a West Brom player," explained Peace.

"We agreed all the terms last night with Wigan and we shall be concluding the deal on Monday morning."

Albion manager Bryan Robson is looking forward to having another proven goalscoring option in his squad.

"He is a quality player and he has a good goalscoring record and you cannot get too many strikers," said Robson.
