Sascha Riether has left Fulham to return to German football with Freiburg.
The right-back has signed a permanent deal with the German club and moves back home for an undisclosed fee in the wake of Fulham's relegation.
Riether's departure comes 24 hours after Fulham signed right-back Tim Hoogland from Schalke and brings to an end his two-year spell at Craven Cottage.
The 31-year-old, who signed initially on loan before completing a permanent move from Cologne last summer, made 72 appearances and scored once.
