Martin Jol is to hold talks with Fulham chairman Mohamed Al-Fayed in the next couple of weeks regarding spending plans for the summer, insisting it is important for the club to become more stable.

He added: "It's not easy because you need a lot of money to buy players and if eight or nine players are leaving the club we need five or six to come into the club. "Hopefully we will be able to do that or we will have to be very creative again. ''When you get good players everyone will say you did well. But, in hindsight, if you don't do well everyone will say it's a club of mercenaries. "I would like to be a bit more stable. I said when I came here I wanted to be in the top 10 and that is not easy when you are not stable."
