Fulham are understood by Sky Sports sources to be on the brink of signing Wolfsburg winger Ashkan Dejagah but they appear to have failed in their pursuit of Derek Boateng.
Dejagah has been with the Premier League club on deadline day as they bid to push through a last-minute £2million move to West London.
Meanwhile, the Cottagers had been in talks with Ukrainian club Dnipro about a possible transfer of midfielder Boateng, who has had spells in Greece and Spain.
However, the 29-year-old on Friday afternoon revealed on his Twitter account a possible move to Craven Cottage had fallen through.
"Deal with Fulham is off," he wrote, without elaborating on the reasons for the breakdown of the transfer.
