Jol happy with Sunderland signing

Fulham have completed the signing of Kieran Richardson from Sunderland for an undisclosed fee. As revealed by Sky Sports earlier this week, Fulham had lined up a deal for Richardson who was looking to return to London for family reasons. Richardson has now penned a three-year deal with the option of another 12 months at Craven Cottage after passing a medical and agreeing personal terms. Fulham boss Martin Jol believes Richardson will be a valuable addition to the squad as he can play in several positions. "Kieran is a proven top-level player, who has the versatility to play a number of positions," Jol told the club's official website. "He will bring all-round quality which will add strength to our squad and I'm confident that he will adapt well to our style of football, and make an impact for us."
