Waddock wants to keep Trotta

Wycombe manager Gary Waddock will ask Fulham to extend Marcello Trotta's loan period after the 2-2 draw at Carlisle on Saturday.

The Italy Under-19 international struck in the 38th minute to give lowly Wycombe the lead after Anthony McNamee's superb 30-yard curler had cancelled out Rory Loy's opener for Carlisle, who snatched a point through substitute Francois Zoko's 86th-minute header. Trotta also hit the woodwork in the first half and Waddock said: "Fulham have been great to allow him to come to us for a month. His loan period is up now and he has done very well. I would like him to stay." Waddock added: "I'm disappointed to concede late on, but after the start we made we would have taken a point. We carved out a number of chances and credit to the players for turning it round. "Carlisle's keeper was outstanding. It's a shame we caught him on a day like that. "Carlisle threw everything at us at the end and poor decision-making led to the goal."
