Fulham midfielder struggling with knee problem

Fulham manager Martin Jol has admitted midfielder Simon Davies could be sidelined for five months because of complications over his knee injury. Having recently returned to training, the 31-year-old was expected to be back in full first-team action for the London side soon. However, Davies' injury appears to be more complicated than initially thought, as the player is still suffering problems with the bone in his right knee. Cottagers manager Jol has now revealed that the former Tottenham Hotspur and Everton player could be out until the New Year. "Simon has a pretty tough injury," said the Dutchman on Friday afternoon. "He will be out for the next couple of months." When questioned further, Jol added: "It is a technical thing. It could be four to five months."
