Richard Lee has been named Brentford's player of the year for 2010/11 by the club's supporters.

The goalkeeper was voted just ahead of Karleigh Osborne in second and last year's winner Leon Legge who finished in third place. Lee grabbed the headlines on more than one occasion this season for his penalty saving antics in both the Carling Cup and Johnstone's Paint Trophy, the latter of which helped the Bees to the final. The 28-year-old, who only arrived from Watford last summer, made 33 appearances for the club this season having missed the final two months of the campaign with a shoulder injury, a problem which forced him out of the club's Wembley defeat to Carlisle.
