Cottagers eye £10million deal
Fulham are believed to have lodged a bid for highly-rated Spanish forward Alvaro Negredo.
The 23-year-old has impressed for his club Almeria this term with ten goals in 19 Primera Liga games.
Now the one-time Real Madrid player is ready to get the chance to switch to the Premier League.
Real are due 50 per cent of any possible deal and that would be €12million (£10.6million) - as that is the player's get-out-clause.
Speaking after Sunday's 3-2 defeat at Valencia - where Negredo fired home twice, club president Afonso Garcia admitted Almeria's hands were tied if Fulham had indeed met the get-out-clause.
"No one can do anything," Garcia told Marca when asked about Fulham's interest.
With less than 12 hours left before the window closes, Fulham will now be left with only a short period in which to persuade Negredo to make the move to West London.
