Nurnberg expect Greek striker to stay

Angelos Charisteas has admitted he is not certain where his future lies, but Nurnberg general manager Martin Bader has reiterated that he expects the Greek striker to stay with the club. Fulham have been linked with a move for Charisteas and Roy Hodgson watched the 28-year-old in a friendly last week. Bader stated on Monday that Charisteas was unlikely to be sold and he has now confirmed there has been no fresh approach from the Cottagers. "We feel there is no further interest in Harry (Charisteas) from Fulham, so we expect him to stay with us," Bader told Nurnberger Zeitung. Charisteas, who was also linked with West Brom earlier this month, has endured a disappointing season with Nurnberg in Bundesliga Zwei. The player hopes the situation can be resolved quickly but is not sure what will happen. "At the moment I am unaware how things will work out, but I am looking forward to getting a decision over my future," said Charisteas.
