Gabriel Zakuani has completed his loan switch to Peterborough from Premier League outfit Fulham.
The centre-half has agreed a three-month deal at London Road and will go straight into the Posh squad for Saturday's trip to Northampton.
The 22-year-old has been away on international duty with Congo since talks began over a move to the League One side, but is now back in England and met his new team-mates for the first time on Thursday.
The powerful defender will help strengthen Darren Ferguson's options at the back, and the manager admits he is delighted to have secured the services of the youngster.
"Gabriel is a great addition to the squad," he told the club's official website.
"He is a big, powerful defender who played 20 games in the Championship last season (during a loan spell at Stoke) and will certainly bring something different.
"It gives us good options at the heart of the defence and I am delighted to have him on board."
