Skysports.com understands Fulham are poised to land midfielder Dickson Etuhu from Sunderland.
The Nigerian has been linked with a transfer away from the Stadium of Light following a number of summer arrivals on Wearside.
Cottagers boss Roy Hodgson had been hoping to secure the 26-year-old in a swap deal involving striker David Healy, but he failed in his endeavours.
However, it is understood Etuhu is set to undergo a medical in West London on Friday with the view to penning a three-year deal.
Etuhu has made 20 Premier League appearances for the Black Cats since joining from Norwich City 12 months ago, but missed the end of last season through injury.
