Fulham are close to sealing the signature of Swedish full-back Fredrik Stoor. The Rosenborg defender has been in talks with The Cottagers for a number of weeks and now a deal appears close to completion. Rosenborg's director of football Erik Hoftun admitted that they expect Stoor to leave shortly. "We are expecting that it will be settled," Hoftun told Adresseavisen. "It's closer than it has ever been. "Since it has taken a long time, it's best for both the club and the player that the transfer is completed." Fulham boss Roy Hodgson, who has also been linked with a move for Middlesbrough's Luke Young, will no doubt be pleased to finally seal the capture of Stoor - who impressed at Euro 2008.

Volz

With John Pantsil already signed and sealed, and with Stoor set to join him - it is being reported that Moritz Volz is surplus to requirements at Craven Cottage, Reports in Spain claim Racing Santander have been offered the chance to sign Volz. Racing are believed to be considering making a move for Volz, although his fellow countryman - Andreas Wolf of Nurnberg - is also known to be on their radar. "The financial conditions are interesting and we intend to give our answer in the coming days," said a Racing spokesman.
