Fulham have made a final bid of £5million for Watford striker Marlon King, skysports.com understands.
Roy Hogdson is anxious to land the Jamaican international, and after having two previous offers rejected, he has made a third bid and will not go any higher.
Fulham turned their attentions to King, after they failed to broker a move for Italian Cristiano Lucarelli and Watford are now considering their options.
But Fulham are believed to have told the Championship club that they will not return with an improved offer should they reject the latest bid.
King is now waiting to hear whether Watford have accepted the bid for him but Fulham hope he could be signed in time to play against Arsenal at the weekend.
