Hearts claim that Rudi Skacel wants a move to England and is asking for his deal with them to be terminated.
Skacel's representatives are known to be looking and listening to various offers, while Hearts have stated that they have already sealed his permanent capture from Marseille.
Skacel has been on a season-long loan from the French club and he has performed admirably on the left flank.
A host of clubs, including Fulham, have been impressed with Skacel - but Hearts insist he is now their player after taking up a two-year option on him.
However, Skacel's future looks far from being settled and Hearts supremo Vladimir Romanov has confirmed that the winger is looking
"Skacel is thinking about moving to England - to the Premier League," he said.
"His agent has asked us to terminate his contract to allow him to go to another club for £1 million.
"I've spoken to Rudi and asked him why he wasn't playing as well as he had been and scoring goals and he said he was thinking about moving to England.
"I said to him to play well because it would be better for both sides as we would get money for him and he would get a good contract, but he said he was afraid of getting an injury.
"So I told him if you play and score goals, I'll let you go, but, if you don't, I won't because it won't be good for us."
Despite Hearts' claim that a permanent deal is in place - Skacel himself continues to deny this.
"It´s nonsense," he told Czech publication Sport.
"I have signed nothing. Now we have to finish the season. We want to finish second in the SPL and win the Scottish FA Cup, these are our objectives.
"After fulfilling them, we will sit down with Mr Romanov and discuss everything. Until that time, it is useless to think and talk about it."
