Chris Coleman insists he would not sell Steed Malbranque for £15m.Chris Coleman insists he would not sell midfield maestro Steed Malbranque, even if he received an offer of £15m.
The Frenchman has been in inspired form for the Cottagers since rejecting a £5m move to Manchester City in the summer transfer window.
The two clubs had agreed a fee on that occasion and City manager Stuart Pearce retains a strong interest in the player, but Coleman says he is no longer for sale.
"If you say Manchester City offered £5m for Steed that's peanuts," Coleman said. "Double, treble that and I would still say no.
"Steed's a genuine, class act," added the Fulham boss, who believes Malbranque should be included in France's squad for the World Cup.
"The French midfield is no longer that of four years ago," he said. "He would do a wonderful job for them.
"Steed's up there with the finest French players to play here. I'd put him in the top five, along with Cantona, Henry and Vieira."
