Barcelona have received an offer from an unnamed English club for Maxi Lopez.
Barcelona have received an offer from an unnamed English club for Argentinian striker Maxi Lopez, sporting director Txiki Beguiristain has revealed.
With the likes of Samuel Eto'o and Ronaldinho ahead of him at Barca, Lopez has been a frustrated bystander for much of this season.
And, with that situation unlikely to change in the second half of the campaign, Lopez has underlined his intention to secure a loan move away from Camp Nou.
Beguiristain confirmed the Catalans had received a number of offers for the player but insisted that no deal had yet been done.
"We have received offers from Spain and Europe - including one English club - but nothing is decided," claimed Beguiristain.
Although Barca would not confirm the identity of the English bidder, both Fulham and, most recently West Ham, have expressed an interest in signing Lopez.
The Hammers are rumoured to be leading the chase, with press reports suggesting Alan Pardew is close to securing the player's summer transfer.
Barca are expected to make a decision on the future of Lopez by the end of next week.
