Cardiff defender Danny Gabbidon has set his sights on a move to The Premiership.

The Welsh international is resigned to leaving Cardiff due to the club's financial problems.

Gabbidon has admitted he is looking to follow former team-mate Rob Earnshaw into England's top flight.

"I want to be playing where Rob is and it would be nice to play against him next season," said Gabbidon.

The news has alerted both Fulham and Birmingham to Gabbidon's possible availability.

Birmingham boss Steve Bruce could be in the market for a new defender with doubts surrounding the future of Matthew Upson after he rejected talks over a new deal.

Fulham chief Chris Coleman is a long-term admirer of Gabbidon and could move for him in the summer.
