Doncaster have signed Cardiff striker Andy Campbell on loan.

The 25-year-old has signed a one-month loan deal at Belle Vue.

Campbell has dropped down the pecking order at Ninian Park and they are willing to loan him out for valuable first team action.

The former Middlesbrough star could be in line to make his debut this weekend against Wrexham.

Rovers boss Dave Penney was delighted to bring in Campbell.

"This is the level of players we are looking at in our quest to get in the play offs," Penney told the club's official website.

"I had been trying to bring him in for a few months but Cardiff wanted him there and he featured in the FA Cup against Blackburn plus the starting line up against Burnley last Saturday."

Rovers have also taken Fulham goalkeeper Ross Flitney on trial as they look to bolster their goalkeeping options.
