Yeovil Town have extended the loan of Fulham defender Liam Fontaine.Yeovil Town have extended the loan of Fulham defender Liam Fontaine for another month at Huish Park.
The youngster joined The Glovers on loan last month as cover for injuries in the backline department with the Somerset-based outfit.
With further injury problems to fellow defender Scott Guyett, manager Gary Johnson was pleased to keep Fontaine for another four weeks.
"I spoke to Fulham and they were very happy to let Liam stay at Huish Park for another month," Johnson told the club's official website.
"He is a quality young defender and with the current injuries to Scott Guyett and Colin Miles, I am really pleased to have him stay on."
The move comes after the club learned Guyett will be out for up to a month after needing surgery to sort out damaged knee cartilage.
The Australian centre back had only recovered from a similar problem in his other knee before being told he needs the same treatment in his other joint.
Johnson lamented Guyett's misfortune at suffering the same problem with his other knee.
"He came back strongly from his other knee operation and I'm sure he will do the same with this one," Johnson added.
