Premiership duo Fulham and Bolton are both believed to be battling it out to bring former Coventry striker Viorel Moldovan back to England.

Moldovan, who is currently at French outfit Nantes, is considering his future with his contract set to expire in the summer.

Nantes are keen to tie down Moldovan to a new long-term deal, but the Romanian is stalling over signing a new contract.

Moldovan has admitted that a number of English clubs and Italian sides have expressed an interest in him and he is not rushing into a decision over his future.

Fulham boss Chris Coleman is still in the market for a striker having sold Louis Saha to Manchester United in January and he could offer Moldovan the chance to return to The Premiership.

Bolton chief Sam Allardyce is always looking to strengthen his squad and with Moldovan being available on a free transfer he would be an attractive proposition.

Moldovan failed to impress during his spell at Coventry and he could be keen to return to England and prove himself.
