MAIK TAYLOR has finally completed his loan move to Fulham from Premiership rivals Birmingham City.

The Northern Ireland international was initially expected to seal his switch to St Andrews last weekend but Fulham have now confirmed the deal has been processed.

Taylor has inked a deal to join Blues on a season-long loan with a view to a permanent move if the club retain their Premiership status.

The 31-year-old ends his six-year association with Fulham and heads to the Midlands in search of guarantees for regular first-team football.

He had been understudy to Edwin Van der Sar for the past two seasons although did enjoy a sustained run in the team last term when the Dutchman was injured.

But Van der Sar is anticipated to be first choice in Chris Coleman's plans this season, and Taylor feels his prospects of regular football will be enhanced at St Andrews.
