LUIS BOA MORTE has revealed that Fulham are happy playing at Loftus Road while their Craven Cottage home is redeveloped.
The lively Portuguese wide man, who performed well in the thrilling win over Bologna in the InterToto Cup final in midweek, is delighted with the start to the season made by the Londoners.
Although there is plenty of competition for places, the former Arsenal man feels he is capable of holding down a place under Jean Tigana.
"Playing at Loftus Road has not interfered with our progress," he suggested. "More the opposite.
"We have, in fact, given good performances at Loftus Road.
"The team reacts well and wants to play at Loftus Road or any neutral pitch.
"I have worked well and am very well in physical terms.
"The people are happy with my work, and this is something that motivates me still more.
"The competition is strong, but I have kept my position.
"Fulham have strengthened the squad with quality players - we have a group of twenty players who are all waiting for a chance.
"We are not favourites in The Premiership," he told O Jogo. "But we want to keep the current form going.
"We only think game-to-game, and do not make predictions.
"The important thing is that the team keeps its simple style, but is efficient in fighting all over the field for the three points."
