PUSAN ICONS are claiming that Feyenoord have lodged a bid to land talented winger Song Chong-gug.

The right winger rose to prominence at the World Cup, producing a string of taking performances for the co-hosts, and has attracted interest from a number of Premiership clubs.

English sides Southampton and Tottenham have kept the communication lines with Pusan open, but Feyenoord are the first to table a firm offer.

Feyenoord winger Brett Emerton has long-been linked with a move to England, and it could be that the Rotterdam outfit are planning for life without the Australian.

Pusan vice-president Choi Man-hee revealed over the weekend that a £1 million offer has been tabled and, more importantly, a guarantee of involvement in the first-team has been included.

Choi said: "Feyenoord is the first and the only team that actually offered a place for Song so far."
