FRENCH starlet Bernard Mendy has admitted that he is bitterly disappointed at the lack of football he has played this season, and will have showdown talks with PSG boss Luis Fernandez at the end of the season.

The 20-year-old has hardly figured at the Parc des Princes this season and, after playing most games last term, is bitterly disappointed.

"On a personal level, this season has been disastrous for me," said Mendy.

"Last year I played almost every game but now it is only five or ten minutes, I am disgusted but I will wait until the end of the season to talk to the coach."

Mendy revealed that Fulham boss Jean Tigana wanted to sign him at the beguinning of his reign at Craven Cottage but he opted for Paris.

"Two years ago, Jean Tigana wanted me at Fulham but I preferred to sign with Paris because I like being close to my family," Mendy told Le Parisien.

Mendy's lack of action has led to him being left out of the French Under-21 side and although he may well be on the move soon, he has ruled out the option of leaving France.

"I am too young to leave for a foreign country.

"My greatest regret is that I am not getting selected for the French Under-21 side anymore."
