NOTTINGHAM FOREST look set to up their bid for Grimsby Town striker Jack Lester.
The 24-year-old front-runner is out-of-contract in the summer and has been placed on the transfer list after turning down an improved deal to stay at Blundell Park.
Forest have just lost Trinidad and Tobago striker Stren John through injury and now Platt, who along with Fulham have had bids for Lester turned down, will up his bid to both club and player.
Talking after Lester hit the winner for The Mariners against Fulham, Town boss Alan Buckley said: "We`ve had a couple of offers but even taking the Bosman ruling into account, the offers have still been nowhere near what we`re looking for."
