Middlesbrough have completed the signing of Yanic Wildschut from Heerenveen for an undisclosed fee.
The deal, which is subject to league and international clearance, sees Boro continue to strengthen their squad with the addition of the highly-rated former Dutch Under 21 international.
The 22-year-old, who has signed a two-year contract with a further year's option at the Riverside, is a product of the famous Ajax Academy.
Wildschut, who has 10 Dutch U21 caps, moved from Ajax as an 18-year-old, and he has already clocked up over 100 career appearances for FC Zwolle, VVV-Venlo, Heerenveen, and Den Haag.
Wildschut told the club's website: "Middlesbrough have been interested in me for a long time, but I wasn't ready to take the step a few years ago.
"When I heard they wanted me again, I knew straight away I wanted to come here. I'd heard a lot of good stories and I know some former players like Marvin Emnes. It's a good club and a beautiful place.
"I've got a lot of pace and speed - I think I'm strong too, so hopefully that can help us win a lot of points and do well.
"I think if as a team we build a good team spirit, we can do well and have a good season."
