Middlesbrough midfielder Albert Adomah is targeting eight wins from the club's last 10 games to keep their play-off hopes alive.

Boro have slipped 12 points off the pace in their bid to secure a top-six Sky Bet Championship finish and the chance that would give them of battling it out for promotion, after a run of 10 games which has brought just one victory.

However, Adomah is refusing to accept that their dreams are dead as he prepares for Saturday's home clash with QPR.

He told the Northern Echo: "There are 10 games left and we are 12 points off the play-offs. It's obviously a tough ask now, but this is football and anything could happen.

"We could win all 10 games and then we'd be in a great position. It's hard to set targets, but even if we could win eight of the 10 games, that would still leave us well placed and it would be a possibility of making the play-offs.

"Who knows? We can't look too far ahead, but it would be wrong to say that it's too late to do anything."
