Middlesbrough's new loan signing Ishmael Miller has revealed that the lure of regular first-team football persuaded him to move to the Riverside last week.
The 25-year-old made his Boro debut in Saturday's 2-1 win over Crystal Palace after joining from Championship rivals Nottingham Forest on a season-long loan deal.
Injury restricted Miller, who enjoyed a successful spell under Boro boss Tony Mowbray at West Brom, to just 23 appearances last season and he is determined to prove his worth.
"I've been picking up bad knocks and injuries over the past couple of years and that stalls your progress because it prevents you from getting match fit game after game," Miller told
Sky Sports.

"Getting minutes on the pitch each week is what you desire and once that is the case you can start playing your best football, but it has been difficult for me to get that recently.
"I've not played as near as many games as I'd have liked over the past few seasons, so hopefully I can avoid any major injuries this year and get my game back on track.
"I was happy to stay at Nottingham Forest having not heard anything over the summer about interest elsewhere and I was determined to do my best for Nottingham Forest.
"I didn't really hit my best form there because of the injuries and I wanted to show the fans what I can do and make a contribution this season, but the chance to come here and work with Tony again was too good to refuse."
