Sky Sports understands Leeds have placed midfielder Adam Clayton on the transfer list.
The news will come as something of a surprise as Clayton has been one of the Elland Road club's stand-out performers this season.
The 23-year-old has made 46 appearances in all competitions this term and netted six goals for the Whites.
Clayton is entering the final 12 months of his contract at Elland Road and has yet to agree a new deal.
Leeds boss Neil Warnock is believed to have informed Clayton of his decision to put him on the transfer list on Wednesday as he begins making plans for next season.
It is thought Warnock has relucatanly agreed to listen to offers for Clayton as he looks to raise funds for his own transfer plans this summer.
The news is sure to alert a number of clubs to Clayton's availability with the classy midfielder having no shortage of admirers in the Premier League and Championship.
