Ferguson could have striker fit for Robins clash

Peterborough boss Darren Ferguson is hopeful of having top-scorer Lee Tomlin available for Saturday's game at Bristol City. The 22-year-old had been expected to be sidelined for a month after suffering ankle ligament damage in their 1-0 loss to West Ham on September 24. However, Tomlin is progressing well in his bid to be fit and he has been impressing Ferguson in training this week. Ferguson believes the international break has come at the right time for Tomlin and is looking forward to having him available again.

"Lee has been running, twisting and turning and to be honest he's looked pretty good," he told the Peterborough Evening Telegraph. "If he comes through OK he will definitely travel with the squad to Bristol. "He's not been at his best this season, but I'm hopeful the break will have done him good. "He's a player you miss when he's not in the side so it will be great to have him back."
