Belgium international inches towards Boro switch

Belgium international Faris Haroun is poised to complete his move to Middlesbrough after successfully coming through his medical. Skysports.com revealed Boro's move for Haroun last week and he spoke to us exclusively over the weekend. The 25-year-old has racked up more than 200 appearances for his past employers Racing Genk in his homeland, and currently Beerschot in Belgium. "We've been speaking to Faris, his advisors and his very close family over the last two days" said Boro boss Tony Mowbray. "It's probably wise not to elaborate too much, but, to my irritation, these things tend to come out in the media anyway. "In the modern world there's a coalition it seems of the media and agents and it's difficult to do your business the way old school managers would, when the first anyone would know about it would be when the player was introduced as a done deal."
