Ben Gibson is looking forward to the new season at Plymouth after joining on a three-month loan deal from Middlesbrough.

The 18-year-old is aiming to gain some first-team experience at Home Park and is hoping he can help his new team get their League Two campaign off to a good start. Gibson also admitted having Peter Reid as his manager was a big reason for joining the Pilgrims. "The gaffer was a big selling point for me," Gibson told the club's official website. "He's got great experience and a great knowledge of the game so I jumped at the chance to come. "I already knew about the club, it's too big of a club to be in League Two. "I'm here for three months and I look forward to playing well for Argyle and hopefully being up towards the top of the league."
