Valenciennes have completed the signing of Mamadou Samassa from Marseille.
Samassa, who was linked with Middlesbrough earlier this week, has agreed a season-long loan with Valenciennes.
The 23-year-old has sunk down the pecking order at l'OM and coach Didier Deschamps has sanctioned the move.
Samassa will help beef up Valenciennes' strike-force which recently lost Gregory Pujol to a knee injury which will sideline him for two months.
