Middlesbrough boss Gareth Southgate is convinced that both Mido and Tuncay Sanli will have departed the club before the start of the new season.
The predicted exodus from Teesside has thus far not transpired following Boro's relegation from the Premier League.
Stewart Downing is the only big name to move on so far following his sale to Aston Villa.
But Southgate, as he has stated throughout the summer, still expects Tuncay and Mido to leave.
"We know that Mido would like to move on in an ideal world - as would Tuncay - and I'm sure those deals will happen," said Southgate.
"But that doesn't take care of itself. It is something I have to deal with.
"I'm pleased to have Mido back. He's stayed at the training ground so he can get his fitness levels up to be able to train with the rest of the team."
