Middlesbrough have allowed Tony McMahon to return to Sheffield Wednesday to complete his loan spell.
The 22-year-old defender joined the Owls in August but was then red carded in the clash with Barnsley last month and suspended for three matches.
Middlesbrough took the opportunity to recall McMahon but have now sent him back to Hillsborough as his ban is over.
The right-back should be available for Sheffield Wednesday's home game against Doncaster on Saturday and will stay with the club until the end of November.
McMahon has already made ten appearances this season for the Owls, who are currently 15th in the Championship table.
