New Middlesbrough signing Justin Hoyte says he hopes to use the example of David Bentley.
Bentley left Arsenal in search of first-team football, which he found at Blackburn - where he subsequently won international honours before signing for Tottenham this summer in a £18million deal.
Now Hoyte, who has just signed for Boro from the Gunners, is looking to follow his lead and prove he can be a success away from Emirates Stadium.
"Like me David had to leave Arsenal for regular first-team football," he said.
"He went to Blackburn and played so well that he got into the England team.
"My first priority is to perform at my best for Boro, but I would like to think it will get me an England call-up.
"Both Stewart Downing and David Wheater have already shown you can get picked while playing here.
"Arsenal are a young, attacking team and so are Boro.
"While this is a new challenge for me, the object is the same: to win every week and finish as high up the table as possible."
