Middlesbrough's Emanuel Pogatetz is ready to battle against Mansfield in the FA Cup Fourth Round

Defender knows cup tie at Field Mill will be hard

Middlesbrough defender Emanuel Pogatetz is ready for a battle when the Premier League side visit League Two strugglers Mansfield Town in the FA Cup Fourth Round. The 25-year-old believes the game will be tough and Boro will have to show plenty of attitude to get through the stern test. But he believes Boro's fine away form at present will help the team at Field Mill. The Austrian told the Daily Express: "It's one of those s****ty games you've got to get through to reach maybe a game at Wembley and something special.

Attitude

"It's a hard game and you have got to show attitude. If we can replicate the Bristol City performance in the last round we will be fine. "We are on a good away run which is so different to last season. We want to continue that." As well as their good away run, Boro will also be boosted for Saturday's clash by defender David Wheater's fine form. Wheater is in fine form, having found the net four times so far this season, including against Blackburn last weekend.
Respect
Commenting on Wheater's contribution, Pogatetz added: "If he was playing like this for Chelsea or Liverpool people would be saying he should play for England. He'd get more respect. "There are not many defenders doing what he is doing at present. He has not been playing like that for a couple of games, he has been doing it all season."
