Middlesbrough star Julio Arca has set his sights on returning to action in December.
The Argentine is recovering from damaged knee ligaments he picked up against Sunderland last month.
Arca, who was expected to be sidelined for up to 12 weeks, has undergone treatment on the injury in is homeland and he is hopeful of being fit before the end of the year.
Treatment"I've been back home to Argentina for two weeks' rest to get some treatment over there. I'm back at Rockliffe [training ground] now and am doing everything I can to recover as quickly as possible," Arca told the club's official website.
"But obviously I'm being very careful and trying to do everything properly and correctly.
"So I'm nearly half way and I'm feeling the knee is getting better.
"I want to be back sometime in December, perhaps the middle if everything goes to plan."
FrustratingThe former Sunderland man admitted it has been frustrating watching his team-mates struggle in recent weeks, but he insists he will not rush his return and risk suffering a recurrence.
"It's so frustrating watching the team knowing you cannot be on the pitch to help them but I'll be back soon.
"There is no point rushing back too quickly and then getting injured again, which could keep me out for the rest of the season.
"I will take my time and come back stronger and better."
