Wrexham have lost the services of loan striker Tom Craddock.
The Middlesbrough striker joined The Dragons last week on a month's loan and scored in their 2-0 weekend win over Bristol Rovers.
However, he actually injured his knee during the match and scans have revealed that he has damaged a medial ligament which will mean a lay-off of around six weeks.
Dragons boss Denis Smith has wasted little time in trying to find a replacement as he has landed Sunderland youngster Kevin Smith.
"I was first recommended the lad when he was at Leeds, but Sunderland paid a fee to take him to the North East earlier this year," said Denis.
"Sunderland don't have a reserve side this season, so he is not getting a game at the moment. Hopefully, this will be a good opportunity for Kevin to come in and show what he can do.
"They have also agreed for him to be available for our FA Cup tie against Stevenage, which in our current position with strikers, is a big bonus."
