Premiership new boys West Brom have had a bid accepted by Middlesbrough for midfielder Jonathan Greening.
The Baggies have been chasing the former Manchester United star all summer and have now agreed a fee in the region of £1.9 million for Greening.
Middlesbrough are willing to let Greening go as he has fallen down the pecking order at The Riverside.
The 25-year-old ace has expressed his frustration at his lack of chances last season and could be interested in a move to gain regular action
Greening has now been given permission to hold talks with West Brom and if he can agree terms he could make the move to The Hawthorns.
Baggies boss Gary Megson is keen to bolster his squad as he looks to establish his side in The Premiership and he sees Greening's experience as a valuable addition to his side.
