PAUL CODREA'S Italian agent has played down reports that the Romanian was ready to leave Serie B strugglers Genoa.
The midfielder was quoted in his homeland as saying he was in talks with Middlesbrough about a possible move to The Riverside.
However, Andrea Pretti - who handles the player from Italy - has stated that no offers are on the table for the 21-year-old international.
"There has been no contact with any club for Codrea in the last few days," Pretti told calciomanager.
"A lot of things have been written and said about Codrea in the last few months, but I believe he will remain with Genoa until the end of the season.
"Unless, though, something happens in the next few hours."
