MIDDLESBROUGH have kick-started the reshaping of their squad after completing a loan move for Coventry's John Eustace and allowing Dean Windass to seal his move to Sheffield United.
Eustace's deal had been expected to be completed on Friday, but he agreed terms quickly and is now available for the club's trip to Fulham on Sunday.
With midfielders George Boateng, Mark Wilson and Juninho injured plus Luke Wilkshire facing suspension, Boro Steve McClaren wanted to reinforce his team's backbone in the centre of the park.
Meanwhile, Windass has finalised his free transfer switch from Boro to Bramall Lane.
Talks had stalled earlier this week when The Blades decided against paying a fee and a promotion bonus, however the Teessiders agreed to a free transfer with the promise of a few if the First Divsion side are promoted.
The South Yorkshire club were keen to bring the former Hull hit-man back to the club, following a successful loan period at the back end of last year.
