Jesus Navas is not surprised to see Manchester City's fearsome strike duo terrorising Premier League defences.
Sergio Aguero and Alvaro Negredo were among the goals again on Sunday, netting three times between them as City hammered Tottenham Hotspur 6-0 at the Etihad Stadium.
Argentine hit-man Aguero bagged a brace against hapless Spurs, taking his tally for the season to 15 in all competitions, while Spanish hot-shot Negredo moved into double figures with a solitary effort.
A return of 25 goals this early in the season makes them the most productive pairing in the Premier League, and the envy of sides across the continent.
Navas is among those charged with the task of providing the ammunition for Aguero and summer signing Negredo, and the Spanish winger is delighted to see two proven marksman firing on all cylinders.
He said in the Daily Mirror: "Sergio is among the best and right now he's in really good shape. We all know about his capabilities.
"They are scoring very easily at the moment. The Premier League suits their style and that's fantastic for us.
"I'm not surprised by Negredo because I already knew how good he was. He has always loved contact with defenders, so this is the perfect league for him, in my opinion."
Navas is also pleased to have opened his goal account for City in the weekend mauling of Spurs, with the Spaniard taking less than 15 seconds to open the floodgates and wrapping up the scoring in stoppage-time.
He added: "On a personal level, this was my best game for sure. Scoring twice and also claiming an assist.
"I've always been known more for giving assists rather than scoring but, of course, I enjoy scoring goals too. If I can score more here, then that would be great.
"I like making other people happy. That's why I've always been known for assists, but if I score more, then it helps."
