Edin Dzeko says Manchester City are raring to go ahead of the new season and is pleased to have Stevan Jovetic on board.
City kick off the new Premier League campaign at home to Newcastle in front of the Sky Sports cameras on Monday night.
Dzeko, who has hit 14 league goals in each of the last two seasons, is relishing the challenge ahead.
"We are fully prepared for what is coming," said Dzeko.
"Day by day, we're getting better. We've made some new signings, who are quality players.
"We all hope to do better in the Premier League and also the Champions League. We have to do better in Europe this season."
Dzeko is particularly delighted to see Montenegro forward Jovetic arrive from Fiorentina, and believes they compliment each other perfectly on the pitch.
"We all know how Jovetic played in Italy," added the Bosnia striker to news agency Anadolija.
"He's the right reinforcement for our team. He plays close to me and I'm very happy because of that.
"I believe that we'll work well together. He already feels at home. It was easy for him to adapt as he has me, Matija (Nastasic) and Aleksandar (Kolarov) here."
