Mancini wary of Newcastle's in-form striker

Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has described in-form Newcastle striker Papiss Cisse as 'incredible' ahead of the sides' meeting on Sunday. The Senegal international has scored 13 goals in just 12 games and bagged a sensational brace against Chelsea on Wednesday evening. His first was a powerful left-footed drive into the top corner and his second was a goal-of-the-season contender, as he swerved a right-footed volley past Petr Cech. Newcastle signed Cisse from Freiburg in January after he scored nearly 40 goals in just 67 appearances for the German club. Manchester City also had the chance to sign the 26-year-old when he was a teenager in 2005, as Graham Carr - Newcastle's scout - watched him during his time working for City. Sven-Goran Eriksson was the manager at the time and pushed the transfer through, only to be denied by passport and visa complications.

Incredible

Mancini said: "Cisse is incredible. He scored two fantastic goals against Chelsea. "He has 13 goals in 12 league games for Newcastle and he's a good player. But not just him, their whole team is playing very well. "Newcastle played a fantastic game at Chelsea and I think this game will be more difficult for us. "The Manchester United game was at home and we played very well to win 1-0 but Newcastle is away and I think it will be harder."
