Manchester City starlet convinced by Poyet to join Seagulls

Brighton's new loan signing Abdul Razak has revealed it was their style of play that convinced him to join until the end of the season. The 19-year-old has made five appearances for Manchester City and had a host of teams vying for his signature when he was told he could go out on loan. However, upon hearing of the interest of Gus Poyet's side, the young Ivorian opted to continue his education with the Championship outfit.

Options

"I like to pass the ball and that's why I decided to come to Brighton," he told the club's official website. "I had a few options but I chose Brighton because I like the way that they play football. "I have seen some of the games and the way Brighton play is different, so I have got to adapt to that. I have spoken to the manager and he is going to give me plenty of information and we will take it from there." The young creative midfielder hopes to gain confidence from his loan spell so that he can return to the Etihad Stadium as a more complete player. He added: "I'm very happy. I want to come and show what I can do on the pitch. I have spoken to the manager and it was all good so I decided to come. "The manager gave me a lot of confidence so I am very happy to come and play for Brighton. I want to contribute to this team."
