City boss happy with win in Porto

Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini was pleased with his side's performance as they came from behind to claim a 2-1 win over Europa League holders Porto in the first-leg of their last 32 clash. Silvestre Varela had given Porto a 27th minute lead at the Estadio do Dragao, but City battled back and levelled when Alvaro Pereira, under pressure from Mario Balotelli, put through his own net. The winner came just minutes from the end when Sergio Aguero fired home after a great break into the box from Yaya Toure. "I think that we played a good game," he told ITV. "We played very well. In the first half we had three or four chances to score and we were unlucky but in the second half we played very well. "I told them only to play as we know how. In the second half maybe we played higher (up the pitch) but we had seven or eight chances to score and more importantly we didn't give Porto which is important because Porto are a top team." It had been claimed that that City striker Balotelli had been the victim of racist chanting from the home fans, but Mancini said he was unaware of anything. "I didn't hear this, sorry," he added.
