Paris Saint Germain head coach Carlo Ancelotti tried to sign Manchester City's Carlos Tevez as he desired his character.
The Ligue 1 club wanted the Argentina international during the January transfer window, but were unable to land the want-away striker.
Former Chelsea boss Ancelotti insists Tevez has character in abundance and thinks Roberto Mancini's City are now missing something without his services.
The Italian tactician admitted trying to land Tevez, David Beckham and Alexandre Pato but not Brazilian playmaker Kaka.
Character
"We tried to sign Beckham, Alexandre Pato, Tevez, but not Kaka," stated Ancelotti to the Mail on Sunday.
"Beckham is not young, but he has personality, character. This team needs to have more personality and Tevez has a lot of character.
"For two years Tevez did really well at Manchester City. City have lost something without him.
"I don't know if we'll try against in the summer. In January there were not a lot of options around about strikers. Tevez, but not others. In June there will be more options."
